ARTO Kishtwar disqualifies 07 driving licences for traffic violations

KISHTWAR, MAY 09: To curb traffic violations and enhance road safety, Assistant Road Transport Officer Kishtwar Tasleem Wani has disqualified 7 driving licences of motorists found involved in serious violations of traffic rules.

The action was carried out under the overall supervision and directions of Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma and in compliance with the directions of Transport Commissioner J&K Vishesh Paul Mahajan.

The offenders were found involved in violations such as overloading, dangerous driving, using mobile phones while driving, drunk driving and other breaches of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

The action has been taken against Mohammad Hanief, S/O Bashir Ahmed, R/O Tipri Banoon, DL No. JK1720210001300; Mohammad Rafi S/O Ghulam Hussain Sheikh, R/O Sheikh Pura Drubeel, DL No. JK1720210002083; Manzoor Ahmed, S/O Ali Lone, R/O Gundna, Doda, DL No. JK0620210000470; Shamim Ahmed, S/O Mohammad Ramzan, R/O 52, Thathri, Doda, DL No. JK0620210000654; Swami Raj, S/O Om Parkash, R/O Tagood Chatroo, DL No. JK1720190000745; Suraj Singh Thakur, S/O Chuni Lal Thakur, R/O Lolna Palmar, Kishtwar, DL No. JK1720220002860 and Shanawaz Ahmed Khan, S/O Abdul Rashid Khan, R/O Khan Pura Dhadpath Chatroo, DL No. JK1720100024170.

The ARTO reiterated that the Motor Vehicles Department shall continue to take strict action against violators to ensure safer roads and protect the lives of commuters. Drivers have been advised to strictly adhere to traffic rules and regulations to avoid legal action and contribute towards road safety in the district.
