DODA, JUNE 20: As part of the pre-celebration activities of the 12th International Yoga Day 2026, Government Girls High School (GGHS), Pul Doda, organised a Yoga Awareness and Practice Session on its campus with participation from students, teachers, staff members and community representatives.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Incharge Headmaster Indu Bhushan, with Yog Guru Anil Thakur attending as the special guest and resource person.
The event commenced with an introductory session on International Yoga Day and the role of yoga in promoting a healthy lifestyle, mental well-being, emotional balance and fitness. Yog Guru Anil Thakur spoke on the role of yoga in reducing stress, improving concentration and fostering harmony between mind and body and demonstrated various yoga asanas, pranayama techniques and meditation practices. Students, teachers and community members participated in the session under his guidance, gaining an understanding of the benefits of regular yoga practice for physical fitness and mental peace.
Incharge Headmaster Indu Bhushan appreciated the organising team and thanked Yog Guru Anil Thakur for conducting the session. He encouraged students to make yoga part of their daily routine to lead healthy and disciplined lives.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to the special guest, staff members and participants.
