DC Kishtwar reviews progress of Public Works Department projects in district

KISHTWAR, JULY 02: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma today convened a comprehensive review meeting with the Public Works Department (R&B) to assess the department’s performance and monitor the progress of ongoing developmental projects across various sectors. These include District Capex, NFB, NABARD, United Grants, Health, Education, and ADP covering all three subdivisions of the district.

The meeting focused on key aspects such as project progress, financial utilization, adherence to regulations, and timely completion of works.

The DC also reviewed the status of new works under District Capex 2025-26 along with the physical and financial progress of all projects under the plan.

A detailed presentation was given, outlining the physical and financial status of development works. The chair was briefed on the pace of execution, financial expenditures, and future work plans.

The DC emphasized the need for transparency, accountability, and strict compliance with tendering procedures and execution protocols. He reiterated that all works must align with established norms and regulations.

Highlighting the importance of timely completion, the DC directed officers to closely monitor the progress of each project to ensure quality standards and efficient fund utilization.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, ACR Idrees Lone, Shahnawaz Bali; Executive Engineer PW R&B Division Chatroo Shakti Kumar Raina, PMGSY AEE Sheikh Nisar, besides other concerned staff.
