KULGAM, JUNE 23: Capacity Building Training Programme for Motivators engaged under Mission YUVA was organized today at the Auditorium Hall, Mini Secretariat Kulgam, in preparation for the successful implementation of Udyam Jagriti 5.0, a flagship awareness campaign under Mission YUVA.
The programme was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, who attended the programme as the Chief Guest.
The training was attended by Motivators, Business Help Desk (BHD) functionaries, Small Business Development Unit (SBDU) representatives, District Programme Manager (DPM), NRLM, Block Programme Managers (BPMs), Cluster Coordinators, Lead District Manager (LDM), Cluster Head, and officers from the Employment Department, all of whom will play a crucial role in the implementation of Udyam Jagriti 5.0 across the district.
Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the significance of Mission YUVA in fostering entrepreneurship and self-employment among the youth and women of Jammu & Kashmir. He elaborated on the 4Cs of Mission YUVA—Culture, Capital, Capacity, and Connectivity, emphasizing their collective role in creating a robust ecosystem for sustainable livelihood generation and enterprise development.
The Deputy Commissioner underscored the pivotal role of Motivators, BHDs, and SBDUs in ensuring effective grassroots outreach and mobilization.
The DC said these stakeholders serve as the vital link between the administration and aspiring entrepreneurs by facilitating their identification, motivation, counselling, and handholding under Mission YUVA.
He called upon all stakeholders to work collectively towards realizing the vision of Mission YUVA and transforming Kulgam into a hub of entrepreneurship, innovation, and self-reliance.
The participants were also sensitized regarding data collection, beneficiary registration, reporting formats, and the importance of timely and accurate submission of information for effective monitoring and evaluation of the campaign.
Speaking on the occasion, the officers conducting the training informed the participants that Udyam Jagriti 5.0 assumes special significance as a large-scale awareness and outreach campaign aimed at identifying, motivating, and guiding aspiring entrepreneurs towards sustainable livelihood opportunities. Detailed sessions were conducted on the objectives of Mission YUVA, operational guidelines of Udyam Jagriti 5.0, field-level responsibilities, reporting mechanisms, community mobilization strategies, and effective beneficiary engagement.
The programme concluded with an interactive session wherein participants raised queries related to campaign implementation and received detailed guidance from the Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam.
