UDHAMPUR, JULY 10: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa, today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of ongoing developmental works being executed under SAMAGRA Shiksha and the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman scheme in the district.
During the meeting, the Superintending Engineer PWD gave a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation on the status of various construction components under the schemes. It was informed that out of 434 sanctioned works, 273 have been completed, while 134 are currently under execution.
The Deputy Commissioner conducted a detailed review of the division-wise progress of works and fund utilisation under the schemes. He directed the concerned Executive Engineers to expedite the pace of execution and ensure the timely completion of all ongoing projects.
The DC also instructed the concerned officers to closely monitor the status of unstarted works and take immediate steps for their early commencement. He directed the executing agencies to adhere strictly to the prescribed timelines while maintaining the required quality standards.
Zonal Education Officers were directed to conduct regular inspections of all active works in their respective jurisdictions and submit reports to ensure effective monitoring and accountability.
Emphasising the need for coordinated efforts, the DC called upon all officers and executing agencies to work in close coordination and with a result-oriented approach to achieve the desired targets within the stipulated timeframe.
