RAMBAN, JULY 17: Continuing the round-the-clock monitoring of arrangements for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, the Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, today conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Yatra Camp at Lamber, Banihal, to review the facilities being provided to the pilgrims.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by SSP Arun Gupta, Additional Deputy Commissioner Varunjeet Singh Charak, SDM Banihal Mohammed Naseeb Bajraan and other concerned officers.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected all langars established at the Lamber Ground and reviewed the quality, hygiene and safety of food being served to the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra pilgrims. He directed the Food Safety Officer to conduct regular inspections of food items and ensure strict adherence to food safety standards so that only fresh, hygienic and nutritious food is served to the devotees.

The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the overall arrangements at the camp including sanitation, drinking water, power supply, accommodation, medical facilities and other essential services. He interacted with langar organizers and instructed them to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and provide quality services to the pilgrims.

During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner also interacted with the yatris and sought their feedback regarding the facilities and services available at the camp. The pilgrims expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made by the district administration and appreciated the seamless coordination among various departments.

Reiterating the District Administration’s commitment to ensuring a safe, comfortable and hassle-free pilgrimage, the Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned officers to remain vigilant, strengthen inter-departmental coordination and ensure prompt redressal of any issue faced by the pilgrims. He emphasized that regular inspections of langars and other facilities will continue throughout the Yatra to maintain the highest standards of safety, hygiene and public service.
