Special Lok Adalat settles 57 cases under Negotiable Instruments Act in Jammu

JAMMU, JULY 18: A Special Lok Adalat for cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 was organised by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jammu, under the guidance of Principal District & Sessions Judge/Chairman, DLSA Jammu Ravinder Nath Watal and the supervision of Civil Judge (Senior Division)/Secretary, DLSA Jammu Maleeka Sharma, at District Court Complex, Jammu.

A total of 18 benches were constituted for the Special Lok Adalat, taking up 314 cases, of which 57 were settled amicably for ₹1,01,83,993. The Lok Adalat ensured speedy justice and provided relief to victims of road accidents through quick settlement of claims.

Similar Lok Adalats were held at TLSC Bishnah, Akhnoor and RS Pura.
