KATHUA, JULY 18: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma today accompanied Deputy Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Jammu Region, Harshit Mishra, on a visit to Bani to inspect the site identified for the proposed Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV).

During the visit, the officers inspected the 50 kanals of land identified for the Kendriya Vidyalaya, reviewed its suitability for the permanent campus and assessed the site’s accessibility and other infrastructure requirements.

The officers also inspected renovation works under way to create temporary accommodation for the Kendriya Vidyalaya at Government Higher Secondary School, Bani and reviewed the pace of work to ensure academic activities commence without delay.

The DC said the District Administration is providing support for early establishment of the Kendriya Vidyalaya at Bani and directed officers concerned to expedite pending formalities and infrastructure works in coordination with the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, benefitting students of the remote hilly region. The officers also reviewed land-related formalities and other preparatory arrangements and stressed coordination among stakeholder departments for timely completion of the process.

Among those accompanying were Sub-Divisional Magistrate Bani Sundeep Kumar, Tehsildar Bani Predhyum Attri and other officers concerned.
