ADC Poonch reviews Relief Cases under SDRF

POONCH, AUGUST 18: Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch Tahir Mustafa Malik today chaired a meeting to review and scrutinize relief cases under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).

The meeting was held in the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, with the objective of ensuring timely scrutiny, verification and processing of eligible relief cases in accordance with the prescribed norms and guidelines.

The meeting was attended by the District Treasury Officer,; Executive Engineer PW(R&B) Department; Chief Animal Husbandry Officer; District Sheep Husbandry Officer; Tehsildars of Surankote, Mendhar, Haveli, Mandi, Mankote and Balakote, besides the Accounts Officer, Deputy Commissioner’s Office.

During the meeting, the ADC held detailed deliberations with the concerned officers regarding the relief cases placed before the committee. He stressed upon the officers to ensure proper verification of claims and supporting documents so that genuine and eligible beneficiaries receive relief strictly as per the applicable SDRF norms.

Sh. Tahir Mustafa Malik directed the concerned Tehsildars and departmental officers to undertake thorough field-level verification wherever required and ensure that all cases are processed in a transparent, fair and time-bound manner. He emphasized that the prescribed procedures and eligibility criteria must be strictly followed while scrutinizing the claims.

The ADC further called for close coordination among the Revenue, Engineering, Animal/Sheep Husbandry, Treasury and other concerned departments for expeditious disposal of relief cases. He directed the officers to ensure that deficiencies, if any, in the cases be identified and rectified promptly to avoid unnecessary delays.

The meeting also focused on maintaining proper documentation and financial discipline while processing relief assistance.

The meeting concluded with directions to the concerned officers to ensure strict compliance with the SDRF norms and timely submission of verified cases for further necessary action.
