DC Udhampur reviews pending building permission cases at BOCA meeting

UDHAMPUR, OCTOBER 1: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today chaired a meeting of the Building Operation Controlling Authority here at Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex.

The meeting was attended by CEO Patnitop Development Authority Rakesh Dubey; Divisional Forest Officer; SDM Chenani; Town Planner and other officers from the concerned departments.

The meeting reviewed the pending cases related to building permissions, including construction of new residential and commercial buildings, repair and renovation of existing structures and development of land by local hereditary residents.

During the deliberations, the Authority examined the cases in detail and accorded approvals subject to applicable rules, regulations and specific conditions, particularly in matters concerning change in land use.

The DC directed the CEO Patnitop Development Authority to convene BOCA meetings regularly to ensure prompt disposal of applications received from citizens and timely decision-making on pending cases.

The DC further advised to involve Wildlife Warden Jammu and Assistant Director Tourism Batote in the BOCA proceedings to facilitate coordinated examination of cases.
