Kulgam: A teenage girl was among two people, who attempted to end their lives in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Tuesday, officials said here.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the girl from HC Gam village of Kulgam appeared near Aharbal waterfall this afternoon and in the blink of a moment jumped into it.
He said that people present on the spot rescued her and shifted her to district hospital Kulgam in a critical condition, where she is being treated.
Similarly, in another incident a 70-year-old man consumed some poisonous substance at his home in K B pora village of Kulgam.
An official said that he was also shifted to district hospital Kulgam for treatment.
Meanwhile, Police have taken cognizance of both the incident and started further investigation—(KNO)
