Special Lok Adalat held at Bandipora

Bandipora, October 07: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) under the Aegis of JK Legal Services Authority Saturday held a Special Lok Adalat On Bank Cases.

The Lok Adalat was supervised by Pr. District & Session Judge Bandipora Amit Sharma who is also chairman District Legal Services Authority Bandipora. Secretary DLSA, Bandipora Nusrat Ali Hakak was also present on the occasion.

During the adalat, a total of 02 Benches were constituted comprising of Presiding Officers and other members for amicable settlement/ compromise of the referred cases.

The first bench was presided over by Amit Sharma wherein advocate Reyaz Ahmad Shah acted as a member to the Bench. The second bench was presided over by Bazila Bashir Chairman (Munsiff/ JMIC) Sumbal wherein (Advocate) Ghulam Mohammad Bhat acted as a Member.

The bank cases referred were taken up by the benches in the Lok Adalat.

In the said Lok Adalat as many as 28 cases were taken up by the benches out of which 5 Cases were settled as disposed, 23 were disposed as unsettled. A total sum of 25,50,000/- was awarded to the aggrieved parties by settlement during the said Lok Adalat.
