Srinagar, Oct 20: Two friends from Thailand, driven by wanderlust and an appreciation for nature’s beauty, were captivated by the allure of Kashmir’s stunning landscapes, as this enchanting destination of Kashmir, which is renowned for its snow-clad mountains and lush valleys, has become a dream come true for the adventurous pair.

Sunny and Mekky, a duo from Thailand, who embarked on a journey driven by their love for nature and their desire for exploration, have led them to the picturesque valley of Kashmir.

Kashmir, known for its breathtaking snow-covered peaks, pristine lakes, and charming meadows, is an idyllic choice for nature enthusiasts. A good number of foreign as well as local tourists visit the valley.

“Upon arriving in the valley, we were spellbound by the beauty of Kashmir. It was an experience of visiting heaven, as we spent our days exploring the iconic Gulmarg, a world-famous ski-destination, and relished every moment,” said the duo while talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

“Not only did we experience the thrill of snow sports, but we also immersed ourselves in the local culture. The warm hospitality of the Kashmiri people and the delectable cuisine left a lasting impression on both of us,” added Sunny.

When asked what comes to mind upon hearing the name Kashmir, they mentioned snowfall, beauty, nature, and snow-clad mountains.

“So far, we have visited Gulmarg, Doodhpathri, Mughal Garden, Dal Lake, Pahalgam, Sonamarg, and many other places,” said Mikey in conversation with KNO.

“We also appreciate the people here because they are very helpful and friendly,” added Mikey.

The duo further added that they plan to stay some more days in Kashmir, and after that, they will travel to Leh, Ladakh as they want to see that place too.

“After COVID-19, I have seen many foreigners here, and I love the weather here; it’s so cool and lovely, as its peaceful nature and both the conditions here as well.”

“We love Kashmir, and we will come here again; our visit to the iconic Dal Lake, where we enjoyed a Shikara ride, gave us a glimpse into the unique lifestyle of the valley’s inhabitants,” said the duo.

“We are having a thrilling and overwhelming experience as we clicked many photographs to lock the memories we had here in the valley.”—(KNO)
