UDHAMPUR, JULY 28: The Patnitop Development Authority in collaboration with the Directorate of Tourism Jammu, Live for others-Being Helpful Foundation and Talla Jewellers organised a cleanliness drive at Patnitop and Nathatop.

The cleanliness drive was flagged off by Muzamil Hassan, AD Tourism Jammu. The event saw active participation from NSS volunteers and faculty from various colleges of Jammu, as well as teams from Patnitop Development Authority, the NGO and Talla Jewellers. Together, they collected garbage from the two key tourist sites, emphasizing the importance of maintaining cleanliness, preserving natural beauty and involving community.

Devender Singh Bhau, CEO, Patnitop Development Authority, stated that the PDA will continue to organize and support cleanliness and sanitation initiatives under its ‘Clean Patnitop Green Patnitop,’ ‘Clean Mountains Save Mountains,’ and ‘Carry The Trash Back’ campaigns to maintain the cleanliness of the picturesque tourist circuit.

Cleanliness is a significant factor in attracting tourists and in view of the ongoing tourist season in Patnitop Tourism Circuit, we hope to instill a sense of responsibility in both tourists as well as locals to maintain cleanliness of tourist places, he added.

Vivek Parihar, Director and CEO of Live for Others-Being Helpful Foundation, said they’re planning for more cleanliness drives in Pancheri, Dudu Basantgarh and other tourist places.
