Srinagar, Dec 20: A Kashmiri paper machie artist from Srinagar crafts Christmas decorative items like Santa, Christmas trees and Christmas bells and claims to receive orders from across the globe.

Speaking with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Nayeem Mir said his artistic prowess has garnered attention beyond borders. “I get orders from abroad and sell my products in the global market through platforms like Flipkart and Amazon,” he said.

“My commitment to preserving the centuries-old tradition of paper machie art while infusing it with festive motifs has earned me accolades and orders from across the globe, turning my quaint workshop into a hub of global Christmas fervour,” he added,

According to Nayeem, each meticulously crafted piece carries the essence of Kashmir’s heritage, which is intricately designed to radiate the festive cheer of Christmas.

“The valley itself becomes a canvas during this festive season and gets adorned with vibrant decorations,” Mir said, adding, amidst the snow-capped mountains, his art serves as a testament to the artistic brilliance thriving in Kashmir—(KNO)
