Successful Conclusion of Three Days Qasida Training Class in Goma Minjee, Organized by Himalayan Cultural Heritage Foundation

The Three Days Qasida Training Class, organized by the Himalayan Cultural Heritage Foundation in collaboration with Maktab e Sahab Zaman Gonma Minjee and supported by Stringmo Group of the Young Artist of Kargil, concluded on a high note at Imam Bargha Goma Minjee.

Hujjatul Islam Sheikh Hassan Minjee graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Historian, Author, and Scholar Mohd Sadiq Hardassi adorned the event as the Guest of Honour. The training program, catering to 40 children aged 10 to 20, was skillfully conducted by experts Mohd Sadiq Hardassi, Taqi Khan Nayab, and Akhone Baqir Zeeshan.

The concluding day witnessed a Qasida Competition where 9 top Qasida Khawans selected during the Training, showcased their talent.
Historian, Author & Scholar Sadiq Hardassi, along with Renowned Naat Khawan Murtaza Fazili and Scholar Prof Nasir Uddin Khafi, graced the occasion as judges, adding their expertise to the Qasida Competition during this memorable event.
Ali Akbar S/o Ahmad Ali claimed the 1st Position, Ahmad Raza S/o Hadi Ali secured the 2nd Position, and Muzammil Hussain S/o Mohd Ibrahim achieved the 3rd Position.

Sheikh Hassan Minjee expressed his congratulations to the organizers and extended gratitude to Anayat Ali Shotopa for hosting the program in their Village. He urged the continuation of such initiatives to preserve the heritage of Qasida, Marsiya, and Bahar e Taweel, contributing to language preservation.

Anayat Ali Shotopa, Convenor of Himalayan Cultural Heritage Foundation for Kargil district, highlighted the motive behind the program, aiming to preserve and promote the rich heritage of Islamic literature, specifically focusing on genres like Naat, Manqabat, and Lamentation. Recognizing the significance of these literary forms in religious gatherings, the foundation seeks to pass on this tradition to the new generation.

The proposed training workshop aims to impart knowledge and skills related to Islamic literature, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation among participants. Engaging sessions led by knowledgeable instructors, practical exercises, and contemporary teaching methods are integral components to make the workshop accessible and appealing to the new generation.

An expression of gratitude was extended to Kaneez Fatima D/o Ghulam Hyder Andoo, President, and Team Leader of Team Stringmo, for their unwavering support in arranging gifts for the participants.
Others Present include, Master Mohd Ibrahim, Chairman Maktab E Sahab Zaman, Taqi Khan Nayab, Former Sarpanch Ali Naqi, Senior Citizens, Parents and Children participated in the programme.
The Chief Guest presented gifts and
prizes among the students, marking the successful culmination of a culturally enriching event.
Himalayan Cultural Heritage Foundation is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the region, with a focus on Islamic literature and traditional art forms. Through various initiatives and collaborations, the foundation strives to pass on these traditions to future generations.
