Lok Sabha Election:  DEO Udhampur reviews preparations at Nodal Officers’ meeting

UDHAMPUR, MARCH 9:  District Election Officer, Udhampur, Saloni Rai today chaired a meeting in the Mini Conference Hall, DC Office Complex to discuss the preparedness for smooth conduct of free and fair    Lok Sabha Election 2024.

 Additional District Development Commissioner Ghan Sham Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Joginder Singh Jasrotia, GM DIC Kishore Singh, along with other Nodal Officers attended the meeting.

 The meeting commenced with a detailed PowerPoint presentation outlining the role and responsibilities of the Nodal Officers for the smooth conduct of the Lok Sabha election in Udhampur district.

Different aspects were meticulously discussed, including the Model Code of Conduct, EVMs/VVPATs, law and order, training management, expenditure monitoring, media communication, transport management, helpline, complaints and redressal, Election Seizure Monitoring System, PWD voters, SVEEP activities and randomization of polling staff.

The DEO provided comprehensive guidance to all Nodal Officers and designated personnel regarding their duties and responsibilities during the election period. Emphasis was placed on the impartial implementation of MCC and other guidelines issued by Election Commission of India.

The DEO urged Nodal Officers to mobilize their resources effectively for the seamless and peaceful conduct of the upcoming general election in the district, emphasizing the importance of SVEEP activities across all corners of Udhampur.
