163 cases settled in National Lok-Adalat held at Pulwama

PULWAMA, MARCH 09: 1st National Lok-Adalat of 2024 was today held in District Court & other Sub-ordinate courts of District Pulwama under the Chairmanship of Naseer Ahmad Dar, Chairman District Legal Services Authority and Pr. District & Sessions Judge, Pulwama and under the supervision of Susheel Singh Secretary DLSA Pulwama.

The Lok-Adalat was inaugurated by PDJ Pulwama while the function was attended by Judicial Officers of District Pulwama.

With the concerted efforts of all presiding officers of courts, cooperation rendered by the learned advocates and officers of various government departments, insurance companies and banking institutions the Lok Adalat was held smoothly and successfully.

A total number of 513 cases were taken up by five benches in the district out of which 163  cases were settled in the said Lok-Adalat.

An amount of Rupees One Crore Twenty Six Lakhs Forty Thousand and One Hundred was awarded as settlement amount in all cases including award of Rs. 38,09000 in 4 MACT Cases.
