REASI, MARCH 16: To promote voter awareness and participation, District Administration Reasi, under the guidance of the District Election Officer, Vishesh Mahajan, organized a rafting event as a part of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program.

The event aimed to engage with the youth and highlight the importance of voting in the upcoming elections. Participants enjoyed the thrilling experience of rafting while also learning about the electoral process and their role in shaping the future of the nation.

DEO Vishesh Mahajan reiterated the significance of every vote and urged the youth to exercise their democratic right responsibly. He emphasized that such initiatives not only promote voter awareness but also encourage a sense of adventure and camaraderie among participants.

He said that SVEEP activities were also held at the Tehsil and Block levels, marking a significant milestone in bolstering voter awareness and engagement.

One notable participant group was the students from Govt. General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College Reasi, who joined the rafting event and showcased their support through creatively designed play cards focused on SVEEP activities. Their active involvement underscores the importance of youth engagement in shaping the future of our democracy.

The rafting event received a positive response from the participants, who appreciated the efforts of the District Administration in organizing such engaging and informative activities.

In addition to the rafting event, the Sangam Theater Group staged a captivating Nukkad Natak performance at the Reasi Bus Stand.
