DODA, MARCH 19: In view of the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024, an interactive meeting of Media Persons was held at District Information Centre (DIC), to discuss the roles and responsibilities of Print and Electronic Media before and during Elections for its smooth conduct.
During the meeting, the media persons were enlightened about the aims and objectives of print and electronic media during election process.
On the occasion, District Information Officer (DIO) Doda said that media is an essential part of our democracy, adding that it acts as a crucial watchdog in democratic elections and maintains its transparency.
During the meeting, Media persons raised various issues related to coverage of election. The DIO assured them that the matter will be taken up with the concerned authorities so that they don’t face any inconvenience during coverage.
Correspondents and reporters of print and electronic media working in Doda attended the meeting.
