POONCH, MARCH 22: District Election Officer, Poonch, Yasin. M. Choudhary today supervised the first phase of randomization of polling staff to be deployed across 474 polling stations during the upcoming Parliamentary Elections-2024 in the district.
The randomization process took place at the video conference hall of the DC office complex here, with the presence of key officials and stakeholders. The process adhered to the prescribed guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI) to ensure fairness and impartiality in the selection of polling staff.
As part of the randomization process, the first randomization report of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) was handed over to all recognized political parties. This step ensures transparency and allows political parties to verify the fairness of the selection process.
Among the attendees were Deputy District Election Officer Mohd. Saleem; District Informatics Officer, Narinder Singh; SDM Surankote (ARO) Farooq Khan; SDM Mendhar (ARO), Imran Rashid Kataria; Superintendent ITI (Nodal Officer) Talat Mehmood and representatives from recognized political parties.
