Anantnag, Nov 1,: Multiple fire incidents during nocturnal hours were reported from South Kashmir’s Anantnag district damaging residential buildings and a mosque.
Notable locations affected include Simthan, where a single-story house was engulfed in flames, Mirbazar Zoder, where four haystacks caught fire and Nandpora Khanabal, where a three-story residential building and a mosque suffered damage, with the mosque sustaining structural damage.
An official told the news agency that Fire and Emergency Services teams from Bijbehara and Anantnag responded promptly, containing the blazes and minimizing damage with the help of the local population.
He said an investigation into the cause of the fire incidents is underway.
