Srinagar, Mar 29 : The moderate rainfall in Srinagar has left Sanat Nagar inundated with water, causing inconvenience to the residents and commuters alike.
According to the news agency, the rains that continued since yesterday, submerged several streets, exacerbating the longstanding drainage issues in the area.
Local residents voiced their frustration and expressed their concerns. “Every time it rains, our locality turns into a virtual pool. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to navigate through the waterlogged streets,” said Zahoor, a local.
Another resident also stated that the lack of proper drainage infrastructure aggravates the situation, leading to water logging even with moderate rainfall, as authorities need to address this issue urgently.
Moreover, an official, when contacted by News agency, stated, “We have taken cognizance of the matter, and the issue will be sorted at the earliest”
