GANDERBAL, MAY 07: In a remarkable display of commitment to gender equality and civic engagement, the District Administration Ganderbal has successfully concluded its innovative initiative, ‘Her Vote Matters’.

This week-long door-to-door awareness campaign, spearheaded by a dedicated team of 3,800 members forming 1,431 teams, has left a profound impact on the community. The team, comprising of CEO/Dy. CEO (Nodal Officer SVEEP), CDPOs, Coordinators NRLM, Clsuter Heads (Principals of Hr. Sec. Institutes)/ Teachers/Anganwadi Workers/SHG Members duly monitored by the District Administration, embarked on a mission to visit 14,218 households, engaging with 63,713 female voters, enlightening them about the significance of their vote.
The campaign, aptly named #HerVoteMatters, is aimed not only to empower women but also to educate them about their crucial role in shaping the democratic process.

Through this concerted effort, the District Administration Ganderbal has set a shining example for others to follow, demonstrating that every voice, especially those of women, deserves to be heard and counted.
The success of ‘Her Vote Matters’ underscores the importance of inclusive and participatory democracy. It is hoped that by involving families in the voting process, the district will achieve a remarkable voting percentage.
