RAMBAN, MAY 07: The District Administration Ramban is actively assisting job card holders from families affected by land subsidence in Pernote.
The Rural Development Department, under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MG-NREGA), is providing immediate job opportunities to these individuals in nearby areas.
Assistant Commissioner Development, Shrinath Suman, highlighted that job card holders are being prioritized for various developmental projects, particularly under MG-NREGA.
Responding to Deputy Commissioner’s directives, a special Anganwadi Center named ‘SHIFA’ has been established at the Pernote Rehabilitation Camp. Operated by the ICDS project Ramban under the aegis of District Programme Officer, Jahangir Hashmi, it focuses on early childhood care, education, and providing nutritious meals, primarily benefiting children and pregnant/lactating women affected by landslides.
