REASI, AUGUST 06: The Road Safety Club and NSS unit of the Government Degree College Katra today organised a Poster Making Competition on the theme “Freedom Movement and its Heroes” as a part of Independence Day celebrations.
The program was conducted under the patronage of Principal, Dr. Rajni Bhagat, and the overall supervision of Prof. Shikha Bhasin.
Five students participated in the competition with great enthusiasm and each participant was given one hour to complete their poster.
The purpose of the program was to display the valour and bravery of the freedom fighters. Prof. Mohd Younus Saleem (HOD English) coordinated the event with the able guidance of other faculty members. Dr. Harmeet Kour (HOD Punjabi) and Dr. Usha Sharma (HOD Sociology) served as jury members and compiled the results.
Priyanka Anthal a student of B.A. Semester V secured the first position, while Shubham Gupta and Amit Sharma both from B.A. Semester III clinched the second position. Anshika Sharma a student of B.A. Semester V was awarded the third position.
