GDC Vijaypur organises Slogan writing competition

SAMBA OCTOBER 23: Government Degree College Vijaypur on Wednesday organised a slogan writing competition on the theme, “Love Life Not Drugs” under the banner of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Gupta, Principal of the college supervised the event attended by more than 20 college students with great enthusiasm, fervour and zeal. The event commenced with the welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Anoop Kumar Bhagat, Nodal Officer, Nasha Mukht Bharat. He spread the message of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan among the college students and the faculty. He further briefed the students about the terms and conditions of the competition.

The first position was secured by Rupali Verma of B.A Sem 5th, the second position was achieved by Priyanka Kumari of B.A. semester 5th and the 3rd position was shared among Kavita Anuragi and Renu Bala of semester 5th. The competition was organised with the full support of senior faculty members namely Prof. Anita Jamwal (HOD Political Science) and Prof. Mamta Gupta (HOD Commerce) The event was coordinated by Prof. Poonam Kundan (HOD Environmental Sciences), Dr. Manoj Heer (HOD Dogri) and Prof. Meetu Sharma (HOD Geography) and co-coordinated by Dr. Priyanka Ganjoo, Dr. Gunjeet Mahiwal, Dr. Indu Koul, Prof. Manisha Rani and Prof. Anjana Raina.

The competition was adjudged by Prof. Ritu Bhagat (HOD Education) and Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (HOD English). The certificates were distributed among the winners and participants. The refreshment was also distributed to all the participants.
