SAMBA, OCTOBER 23: In a significant step towards promoting environmental sustainability and healthy lifestyle, the NCORD Cell of Government Degree College (GDC) Ramgarh, in collaboration with the NSS Unit, organized a plantation drive, today. The event took place under the supervision and able guidance of the esteemed Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra.
The plantation drive witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and staff, highlighting the importance of green initiatives in safeguarding the environment. The NCORD Cell coordinator, Prof. Brham Dutt, and PTI Sports In-charge, Mr. Ashok Kumar, played pivotal roles in organizing and ensuring the smooth conduct of the event.
Speaking at the event, Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra emphasized the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle as the healthy environment and lifestyle are closely linked. She encouraged the students to continue engaging in such meaningful activities that contribute positively to the environment and society.
The plantation drive is part of a series of initiatives undertaken by GDC Ramgarh to promote healthy living, physical well-being and environmental consciousness, aligning with the college’s mission of holistic development.
The event concluded with the planting of saplings across the college campus, marking a successful and impactful day for all participants.
