DODA, NOVEMBER 26: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda Harvinder Singh on Tuesday reviewed the status of patient care and general achievements under the health sector here at a meeting held in the Mini Meeting Hall of the DDC Office.

The meeting evaluated the progress of health-related initiatives and addressed pressing issues to strengthen healthcare delivery in the district. Key health officials, including the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Medical Superintendent GMC, District TB Officer, District Immunization Officer, and all Block Medical Officers (BMOs), attended the meeting and presented updated data and reports.

The DDC reviewed the role of ANM and ASHA workers in institutional deliveries and monitoring of pregnant women expected to deliver within the next three months. The CMO gave a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation covering key metrics and the overall status of health institutions. The review highlighted the need to strengthen services for maternal and child health and enhance public health facilities in remote areas.

The BMOs sought upgrading of health infrastructure and medical facilities in their respective jurisdictions. The DDC assured the officials that their issues would be addressed promptly and emphasized the importance of creating an efficient ambulance chain to cater to remote and challenging terrains. Other challenges, including staff shortages and resource gaps, were also discussed with a focus on implementing practical solutions.

This meeting underscored the district administration’s dedication to improving healthcare services, ensuring effective utilization of resources, and addressing gaps in service delivery. The DDC reiterated the importance of collaboration among health officials to ensure accessible and quality healthcare for all residents of Doda, especially in underserved and hard-to-reach areas.
