JAMMU, NOVEMBER 26: Mission Director Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) Rahul Yadav on Tuesday reviewed the implementation of the significant initiatives such as Daksh Kisan, Kisan Sampark Abhiyan 3.0, besides documentation of success stories under HADP here at a meeting held in the Meeting Hall of Directorate of Animal Husbandry Talab Tillo .

The meeting was attended by Heads of all the departments under the Agriculture Production Department, technical officers and members of IEC Cell, APD. The district nodal Officers of Kisan Sampark Abhiyan 3.0, district officers of agriculture and allied departments as well as Kashmir based officers joined the meeting via virtual mode.

The Mission Director reviewed the status of documentation of success stories under various projects of HADP and stressed upon the quality of photographs and videos to be projected. He further directed the submission of completed success stories after due vetting by the respective directorates at the earliest.

While reviewing the district wise progress in farmer registration and enrollment under Daksh Kisan, the chair directed to improve the performance by increasing the outreach among the farming community. He further asked to encourage the farmers to complete the courses offered on the portal thus enhancing their overall skill development and knowledge in agriculture and allied entrepreneurial activities like dairying, poultry, horticulture etc. He further enjoined upon the officers to work in coordination and synergy to achieve the desired results.

The Mission Director further emphasized on increasing the average farmer participation during the Kisan Sampark Abhiyan 3.0 events which are being organized across the 20 districts with an aim to ensure effective and efficient implementation of various projects under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme.

The progress on development of fodder resources in J&K was also reviewed by the Mission Director. He underscored the importance of availability of adequate fodder for the livestock population of the Jammu and Kashmir and directed to expedite the establishment of key components under the project such as Hay/Silage units, Hydroponic units etc. for boosting the fodder availability in the region.
