JAMMU, DECEMBER 04: The Jammu & Kashmir Local Bodies Dedicated Backward Classes Commission on Wednesday visited Tehsil Chenani in District Udhampur and met with the delegation of Municipal Committee Chenani led by Khem Raj and others (Member of OBC Community).
The delegation members briefed the Commission about reservation of the seats in Municipal Committee Chenani as it has 25% OBC population in the committee. Several other OBC delegations from adjoining Panchayats also participated in the meeting.
The Commission gave a patient hearing and assured them that it will consider the issues raised by different delegations for recommending reservations to the Local Bodies in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
