NARIAN (RAJOURI), DECEMBER 07: Deputy Chief Minister, Surindar Kumar Choudhary today presided over a public Darbar at Narian to address the grievances and developmental concerns of the local population.

The event witnessed a warm reception from the general public, who welcomed the Deputy CM with enthusiasm and expressed their gratitude for the government’s commitment to addressing grassroots-level issues.
The residents of Narian and surrounding panchayats raised various issues related to infrastructure, public services, and welfare schemes.

During the Darbar, the locals brought several issues and demands before the Deputy CM like construction and upgradation of Dagani road, Sankat road, Narian to Dagani road, motorable bridge in Sangpur panchayat, as well as the Zinda Peer bridge, concerns over mining-related issues, demarcation of mining blocks, repairs to irrigation canals and crates near riversides, requests for improved water supply, replacement of wooden electric poles in Dagani, Sangpur, and nearby panchayats. They also demanded enhanced ambulance services, bank branch in the area, inclusion of left-out beneficiaries under PMAY, operationalization of Aanganwadi centres, and a Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Sangpur, inflated electricity bills and the need for registration of genuine beneficiaries under labour welfare schemes.

He emphasized on the importance of transparent governance and directed the officers to conduct field visits to ensure grievances are addressed effectively.

On the occasion, key decisions were taken like like inclusion of critical road projects in phased development plans on a priority basis, assurance of water supply to every household under the Jal Jeevan Mission, immediate replacement of wooden electric poles in the affected panchayats, preparation of a proposal for inclusion of five additional panchayats into Nowshera block and timely demarcation of mining blocks to address public concerns. Also, directions were given to Labour Department for registration of genuine beneficiaries as well as officers were asked for speedy redressal of grievances, particularly for welfare schemes and public utilities.
