JAMMU, DECEMBER 8: District Magistrate Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishya has directed officers to conduct a detailed assessment of agricultural land beyond the border fence to address the challenges faced by farmers in these restricted areas.
During a meeting attended by BSF officials and concerned Sub Divisional Magistrates, the District Magistrate emphasized the need for accurate documentation of inaccessible farmlands.The SDMs were instructed to carry out ground-level mapping, identifying parcels of land that farmers are unable to cultivate. This will include direct engagement with affected farmers and coordination with the Border Security Force to ensure comprehensive data collection.
