BARAMULLA, DECEMBER 18: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, today briefed media persons in his office chamber about the district’s preparations for the ‘Good Governance Week’ (December 19–24) and chaired a preparatory meeting at Dak Bungalow Baramulla to finalize arrangements for ‘Prashashan Gaon Ki Ore’ program.

During the press briefing, the DC highlighted the week-long ‘Good Governance Week’ initiative, which aims to bring administration closer to rural areas by organizing grievance redressal and service delivery camps in all 26 blocks of the district. Citizens were encouraged to attend these camps to get their concerns addressed and benefit from various government services. Additionally, awareness campaigns will be conducted to inform the public about welfare schemes.

The DC further said that during the week all the grievances received through JK-IGRAMS, JK Samadhan and other public services demands will be resolved in a time bound manner.

Earlier, the DC chaired a preparatory meeting at Dak Bungalow Baramulla with district and sectoral officers. The meeting finalized the implementation of ‘Prashashan Gaon Ki Ore,’ focusing on transparent and accountable governance.

Minga Sherpa reiterated the administration’s commitment to bridging the gap between government institutions and the public, urging media cooperation in raising awareness about these transformative initiatives.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Baramulla, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Raina, ADC Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Raina, Assistant Commissioner Development, CPO, Block Development Officers, and various departmental heads.
