GANDERBAL, DECEMBER 27: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir, today chaired a high-level meeting here to deliberate on the construction and upgradation of strategic roads in the district, with a focus on areas of high security importance.

The meeting held a detailed discussion regarding the condition of existing strategic roads, particularly those leading to vital security establishments, and the feasibility of constructing new roads to improve connectivity in these areas.

The meeting also reviewed the current status of mobile connectivity in remote and inaccessible parts of the district.

Heads of various security agencies apprised the DC of the road conditions and mobile network penetration near their establishments. They emphasized the need for both enhanced road infrastructure and better mobile connectivity to strengthen communication in critical areas.

The DC directed the R&B Department to conduct ground surveys of the identified roads and prepare a tentative proposal for their construction and upgradation.

In addressing concerns about poor mobile connectivity, Shyambir instructed the Sub-Divisional Engineer (SDE) of BSNL to take immediate measures to upgrade the mobile network in areas with weak or no connectivity.
Interacting with the officers in the meeting, the DC underscored the district administration’s commitment to ensuring better infrastructure and communication facilities in remote and strategically significant areas of Ganderbal.

The meeting was attended by SSP Ganderbal, Ragav S; Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Gulzar Ahmad; DFO Sindh Forest Division, SDE BSNL and officers from security forces.
