DC Kupwara visit DH Handwara, takes stock of facilities provided to patients

KUPWARA, DECEMBER 27: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today paid a visit to District Hospital, Handwara to take stock of the facilities being provided to the patients.

The DC inspected various wards, held interaction with patients and enquired about the facilities being extended to them at the Hospital.

The visit was aimed at assessing the availability and quality of basic amenities and ensuring the hospital is equipped with all such facilities to meet the healthcare needs of the public.

During the inspection, the DC reviewed critical departments, including the Emergency Ward, OPD, Labor Room, X-ray Unit, and Laboratory. Special attention was given to the functionality of these sections to ensure uninterrupted medical services for patients.

The hospital canteen and overall cleanliness of the premises were also inspected to ensure adherence to hygiene and quality standards.

Ayushi interacted with hospital staff and patients, emphasizing the importance of patient care, timely service, and maintaining a robust healthcare system. Concerns and suggestions shared by the staff were noted for prompt resolution.

The DC expressed satisfaction with certain facilities while directing hospital authorities to address identified gaps on a priority basis. The administration reaffirmed its commitment to providing top-tier healthcare services and ensuring a clean and supportive environment for patients and staff.

The district administration will continue its efforts to uplift healthcare infrastructure and services in Kupwara to meet the aspirations of the people.
