SAMBA, FEBRUARY 24: The Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare Department Samba organized the live telecast of the release of the 19th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana here at the Office of the Chief Agriculture Officer. The event was held in sync with the national-level launch by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, from Bhagalpur, Bihar.
In Samba district alone, 21,564 farmers benefited from the scheme, receiving ₹4.31 crore as direct financial assistance.
The programme was attended by Chief Agriculture Officer Madan Gopal Singh, Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer Naresh Raina; Avtar Singh (SMS), Vivek Mahajan (SMS), along with officials from allied sectors, including Assistant Director Fisheries and District Officer Sheep Husbandry. A total of 70 farmers participated in the event.
Similar programmes were held at Zonal and Panchayat levels across the district to ensure maximum outreach and awareness. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by SDAO Samba.
