DC reviews progress of Holistic Agriculture Development Programme in Poonch

POONCH, FEBRUARY 25: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal, chaired a crucial meeting today in the DC office complex to review the progress of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) for the financial year 2024-25.

During the meeting, the DC sought detailed updates from various departments involved in the programme, including Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Sericulture, and other relevant sectors. He emphasized the importance of collaboration among departments to enhance the overall effectiveness of the programme.

The DC directed the concerned departments to focus on key indicators to improve statistics at the Union Territory level. He stressed the need to increase the registration of farmers to meet the established targets promptly.

The meeting was attended by key officials, including the Chief Agriculture Officer Poonch, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, District Sericulture Officer, Assistant Director of Fisheries and other stakeholders.

The Deputy Commissioner reiterated the government’s commitment to advancing agricultural development and ensuring the welfare of farmers in the region.
