DC Reasi reviews arrangements for holy month of Ramzan

REASI, FEBRUARY 28: Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik convened a meeting of officers to review and finalize the arrangements for the ensuing holy month of Ramzan.

The DC instructed officers of JPDCL and Jal Shakti to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply, especially during Sehri and Iftar times.

Emphasizing on the sanitation of towns and municipality areas, the DC directed Executive Officers of Municipal Committees to launch special cleanliness drives in the district with focus on roads, lanes, drains and regular lifting of waste from markets.

The CMO was directed to ensure the availability of medical staff and medicines to cater to medical emergencies. She directed fire departments to ensure proper arrangements to deal with any untoward incident.

The Food safety officials were asked to conduct regular market inspections to check food quality in the market during the month. She also directed for installation of more lights in their respective towns.

Enforcement squads were constituted to keep check on profiteering, hoarding and overcharging by shopkeepers by conducting market checking on regular intervals.

Availability of essentials in the market was also reviewed during the meeting, while traffic authorities were directed to ensure availability of transport in evening hours.

Among others, the meeting was attended by ADC Rakesh Kumar; SDMs, Dy. SP HQ, ARTO, Tehsildar Reasi, Tehsildar Bhomag, Executive Engineer JPDCL, EOs officials from Sheep Husbandry and Fire departments, Mufti Ashraf Misbahi Chairman (Madrasa- Darul uloom Payam e Raza), Vice President and General Secretary of Masajid Development Committee, Hafiz Mukhtar Qadri from Imam Jama Masjid Reasi.
