RAJOURI, MARCH 20: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today chaired a meeting of the District Level Review Committee (DLRC) here in the Conference Hall of PWD Dakbanglow to assess the performance of banks and review the implementation of key government schemes in the district.

The DDC conducted a comprehensive review of the clearance of cases under credit linked schemes and directed banks to ensure timely financial assistance, particularly in priority sectors to boost economic growth.

Emphasizing the need to improve the Credit Deposit (CD) ratio, which currently stands at 55 percent, he urged financial institutions to enhance their outreach and lending efficiency.

A key focus of the meeting was the implementation of the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme for Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, and Fisheries. The DDC stressed the importance of expediting the disbursement process to benefit farmers and entrepreneurs engaged in these sectors.

Reviewing the Prime Minister’s Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme, it was noted that out of 719 sponsored cases, 272 cases had been successfully disbursed. The DDC expressed concern over the low disbursement rate under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), and called for immediate corrective measures.

Similarly, under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), out of 719 sponsored cases, 272 were disbursed, while the National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) recorded 62 disbursements out of 126 cases.

The progress of other flagship schemes, including Mumkin, Tejaswini, Spurring Entrepreneurship, RSETI, NRLM, and PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, was also reviewed. The DDC directed officials to intensify awareness campaigns to ensure maximum public participation and to facilitate easy access to financial benefits under these schemes.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, GM DIC Fareed Kohli, CPO Maqsood Ahmed, LDM Sanjeev Bhasin, DDM NABARD Chander Sharma, CAHO Dr. Khalid Hussain, DSHO P.P. Sagotra, CAO Sohan Singh, ALC Pradyot Gupta, AD Fisheries, AD Handloom and Handicrafts Abhinandan Mangotra, and representatives from various banks.

The DDC directed the concerned officers and banks to expedite the processing of pending cases and ensure the timely achievement of targets to promote self-employment, entrepreneurship, and rural development in the district.
