SAMBA, JUNE 03: Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma today reviewed the functioning of the education department at a meeting of all Principals, Zonal Education Officers and Headmasters. The meeting was also attended by ACR, Ajay Bharti and Chief Education Officer Kewal Krishan.

The DC reviewed the recently declared results of Class 10th and 12th board examinations. Institutions with outstanding results were appreciated, while those with low performance were directed to identify gaps and take necessary corrective steps. He emphasized the need to focus on academic excellence by engaging students through personal interaction and organizing special classes to enhance learning outcomes.

Heads of Institutions were instructed to regularly monitor classroom activities and also take classes themselves to maintain academic standards.

The DC laid special emphasis on the personal supervision of ongoing developmental works under UT Capex, District Capex, and Samagra Shiksha to ensure quality and timely execution. Reports regarding these works were directed to be submitted to higher authorities.

Further, Cluster Heads and Zonal Education Officers were instructed to intensify monitoring of schools under their jurisdiction and ensure timely reporting.

Calling education a top priority, the DC urged all education officers to contribute their best efforts towards the holistic development and welfare of students.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks presented by CEO to the Deputy Commissioner for his valuable guidance and commitment to improving the education sector in the district.
