RAMBAN, JUNE 03: Awareness events under Viksit Kisan Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA) were today held here at Panchayat Sangaldan, Dalwah Upper, and Dalwah Lower under the expert guidance of the Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO Dr. Vinay Kumar Jandial and Scientist KVK Ramban Dr. Raj Kumar.

The VKSA is a flagship initiative aimed at disseminating information about modern agricultural practices, government schemes, and technological interventions to farmers at the grassroots level. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local farmers, ex-panchayat representatives and field officials.

The officials from the Agriculture Department provided valuable insights into the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Soil Health Management, Integrated Pest Management and Organic Farming. Farmers were also guided on various centrally sponsored schemes, including PM-KISAN, KCC (Kisan Credit Card) and Crop Insurance schemes.

Live demonstrations, interactive sessions, and distribution of literature further enhanced the impact of the VKSA event, making it an enriching experience for all attendees.

The Chief Agriculture Officer emphasized the importance of such outreach programs and reiterated the department’s commitment to uplifting rural communities. “Our objective is to ensure that every farmer is aware of the resources available to them and is equipped to make informed decisions for better productivity and sustainability,” the CAO stated.
