SRINAGAR JULY 14: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo and Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Faz Lul Haseeb Monday held a joint meeting of Revenue and SMC Officers here at Meeting Hall of the DC Office to review the progress achieved in implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY-U 2.0) in the district.
The meeting was among others attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Rifat Aftab Qureshi; Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; Joint Commissioner SMC, Nuzhat Khurshid; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Umar Gulzar, all Tehsildars, SMC Ward Officers, and Officers from J&K Housing Board.
At the outset, Deputy Commissioner & Commissioner SMC emphasized the need for maintaining transparency and accuracy in beneficiary selection under the scheme to ensure benefit reaches the deserving population. They instructed the Revenue and SMC Officers to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out and no ineligible case is included in the final beneficiary list.
The Revenue and SMC Officers were instructed to expedite the verification process at their respective levels swiftly in line with scheme guidelines to meet the scheme objectives of providing ‘Housing for All.’
While reviewing the status of registrations on Unified Web Portal of PMAY-U 2.0, Deputy Commissioner & SMC Commissioner were apprised that several applications in thousands under the scheme have been so for received in the district.
