Handwara, Oct 01 : While the tight contest is expected between National Conference (NC) and Peoples Conference (PC) candidates in the third phase of assembly elections at Handwara constituency, a young non-voter was quite happily enjoying the situation outside the home polling booth of both the candidates on Tuesday.
Class 1st student, who is not eligible for voting yet, was watching the polling and fervor outside the station. However, despite not being able to cast his vote, Hamid Javaid, who is a student of MonarchHigh School Handwara, showed his support and love towards his favourite candidate and the party by wearing a red colour shirt, picturing logo of National Conference and the party candidate Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan on the front and the back side of his T-shirt.
Hamid has got the T-shirt from his Uncle and has worn it to extend his support to the candidate. “I don’t have a vote. But, I support Choudhary uncle,” said little Hamid, who was quite shy during a conversation with the news agency.
Hamid was accompanied by his friend, who left the polling station soon after this short conversation.
Pertinently, the third and last phase of assembly elections is being held today across 40 constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir while the counting of votes will take place on October 08
