ADC Bhaderwah reviews rainy season preparedness; departments directed to submit detailed reports

BHADERWAH, APRIL 18: As directed by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Krishan Lal a meeting to review the preparedness for the ensuing rainy season was held today at office chamber of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhaderwah Sunil Kumar Bhutyal.

During the meeting, all concerned officers were directed to attend in person and present comprehensive details regarding damages that occurred during the last rainy season, action taken reports, current year plan proposals and urgent issues requiring priority redressal.

The AEE Jal Shakti Department was instructed to provide detailed reports on the Monda Water Supply Scheme, Amrut Ashapati Water Supply Scheme and Mohalla Qilla reservoir. The Power Development Department (PDD) was directed to furnish complete details of wooden electricity poles in both urban and rural areas that need replacement with iron poles, and to ensure the removal of HT lines passing over residential houses and schools.

The PMGSY department was asked to submit detailed information regarding Musda Nallah and other nallahs and kuls. The Executive Engineer R&B (PWD) was directed to ensure that all damaged roads, drains and nallahs are cleared and restored to proper condition and that crash barriers are installed wherever necessary.

The BMO Bhaderwah and Bhalla were instructed to ensure adequate availability of medicines, ambulance services in far-flung areas and uninterrupted essential health services at SDH Bhaderwah. The Irrigation Department and BDOs of Bhaderwah and Bhalla were asked to provide detailed reports on damaged nallahs and landslides.
Officers were also directed to submit details of works executed under the NREGA scheme along with updates from their respective jurisdictions.

The meeting was attended by ADC Bhaderwah, Tehsildars of Bhaderwah and Bhalla, Executive Engineer R&B (PWD), BMO Bhaderwah, BDO Bhalla, AE R&B, HDO, JE PMGSY, LDO, TSOs, Range Officers, AEE Jal Shakti, AE PDD and other concerned officers. Officers from Bhalla zone participated in the meeting through virtual mode.

The ADC emphasized the importance of proactive planning and timely execution of works to minimize damage and ensure public safety during the upcoming rainy season.
