NOWSHERA, MAY 26: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Nowshera, Pritam Lal Thapa, today convened a meeting with the Jal Shakti Department (Civil and Mechanical) Nowshera Division to review the progress of work on ongoing schemes and assess the status of drinking water supply in the Sub-District.

The ADC directed the concerned officers to expedite the execution of schemes and ensure timely completion of all ongoing works. He further instructed the department to address any bottlenecks hindering project progress and maintain strict adherence to quality standards.

The status of drinking water supply across different panchayats and municipal areas of Nowshera Sub-District was also reviewed in detail. The ADC stressed the need for prompt redressal of public grievances related to water supply and directed the officers to maintain adequate buffer stock of essential materials to avoid disruptions during the summer season.

The ADC urged the Jal Shakti Department to work in close coordination with the local administration to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach every household and that no area remains deprived of potable water.

The meeting was attended by Executive Engineer Jal Shakti (Civil), Assistant Executive Engineer Mechanical, Junior Engineers and other field staff of the department.
