ADC Srinagar visits Sharika Devi Temple, oversees arrangements for upcoming Navratra festival

SRINAGAR, MARCH 29: On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Srinagar, Dr. Khalid Hussain Malik on Saturday visited Sharika Devi Temple in the District to oversee arrangements being made on the eve of Navreh, a festival celebrated on new Year as per Hindu calendar and beginning of Navratra celebrations.

During his visit, the ADC was accompanied by the members of Kashmir Pandit community and senior Officers from District Administration.

At Sharika Devi Temple atop Hari Parbat, Badamwari the ADC took a detailed stock of the arrangements being made for the devotees.

While interacting with the management Committee of the Sharika Devi Temple, the ADC took first hand appraisal of the arrangements made available at the venue to facilitate the visiting devotees particularly on the occasion of Navratra.

The ADC gave on spot directions to the PDD and PHE Departments to ensure uninterrupted supplies of Power and water. He also instructed Health Department to ensure health facilities at the Temple on the festival eve.

Similarly, SMC authorities were asked to deploy sufficient personnel for sanitation and cleaning measures at both the venues.
