Bandipora,Nov 02: Department of Animal Husbandry Bandipora in collaboration with the Lead District Bank Bandipora organized the “Weekly Kisan Credit Card (KCC) camp”, as part of the ‘Nationwide KCC Campaign’, at the Meeting Hall of the LDO Office in Sumbal.
The camp was led by Dr. G A Lone, CAHO Bandipora, with the participation of Shamim Ahmad, LDM Bandipora, LDO Sumbal, Dr Mohd Ashraf, Nodal Officer-AHD, Nodal Officer-SSC JK Bank, concerned Bank Managers, and the Veterinary Assistant Surgeons along with the staff.
During the camp, a total of 25 KCC cases were sponsored, involving 46 cows, 25 Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), and 25 Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) cases. CAHO Bandipora urged farmers and unemployed youth to actively engage in government-sponsored schemes and make use of the benefits, including subsidies.
Awareness sessions about various departmental schemes, with a specific emphasis on the KCC and HADP Schemes, were provided by LDO Sumbal. LDM Bandipora offered a comprehensive understanding of managing KCC accounts and encouraged farmers to maintain transparency and integrity in utilizing the funds.
The farmers expressed their gratitude for the departments efforts in organizing such beneficial camps.
