The Extension Officer laid special emphasis on opting for latest technology in breed improvement of livestock such as use of sex sorted semen in cattle breeding which ensures birth of only female calves with upto 90 percent accuracy thus boosting productivity of the dairy sector in the region. Additionally, he stressed on disease prevention in livestock by urging livestock owners to ensure 100 percent livestock vaccination against Foot and Mouth Disease under phase-6 of National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP), which is currently ongoing in the entire country.
