RAMBAN, OCTOBER 10: Assistant Labour Commissioner Ramban, Amit Kumar, today disbursed compensation amounting to Rs 17, 01,450 in favour of the dependents of Late Javed Ahmed Malik in the case Shameena Bano v/s National Insurance Company and others. This compensation comes as a relief to the family of the deceased under the provisions of the Workmen Compensation Act.
In another case, Mohmad Ashraf v/s Bajaj Allianz, a compensation of Rs 4.23 lakh was disbursed in favour of the injured labourer, Mohmad Ashraf.
Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Labour Commissioner emphasized that the Labour Court Ramban is actively processing a number of cases under various acts such as the Workmen Compensation Act, Payment of Wages Act, and Payment of Gratuity Act. He assured that his office is working diligently to clear pending cases and ensure that justice is delivered at the earliest.
He urged applicants to be present at all court hearings, especially in cases nearing final stages where evidence and witnesses are crucial. He called for cooperation from the applicants to help expedite the disposal of cases.
